2. Ideas - First Draft

2.1 Ideas of all the members:

Dilans idea : 

 

To make a 3D card game with boths or with players game with monsters fighting each other with different power levels and to use different types of monster, and to ensure the player enjoys the game with map which interacts with the players and to have a different look from others games, with a lot of types of plays and cards which interact with plates two to have a nice music with battle and idl interacts for players.  With the game being different from others it will have different ways to win and to play with a lot of different types of characters  and traps the play will have to think which card will work with teacher to make a combination  

 

Nikol Ideas: 

 

 To create a fantasy based 3D game using the CCG Toolkit from Unreal Engine 4.25.3. 

To create an arena and concept based on the game Hardstone. Using the mechanics and basic game rules from Hardstone and to represent them through our game.

 

 For the game to be for LAN/ Hotset play with joining game players. For the Game ART itself, I suggest to be Anime/Fantasy based because there are a lot of members of the Fantasy Target audience and this way we can have a strong ‘’marketing’’ society and can describe this in the Pitch for the game.Also, a good target will be the children. 

 

We can create 2 decks of cards with 20 in each deck including 5 Golden cards in each deck. Cards can involve but if you prefer we can work without that because it is a lot of work (we have most of the basic mechanics in the Toolkit). We can also have two different Art Styles for the decks - each deck to have 20 cards including 5 Golden cards. Two people can design 20 cards for 10 of each deck. 

 

For the concept design we can create a Moodboard for knowing the arstyle and to try working on the aesthetics of the game. Then to try with reference images for the style and concept. After the concept we can try to write some ideas for the story and then to start writing it.

 

Indiana’s Idea:

My idea is to create a fantasy anime interactive computer card game using Unreal Engine. The common theme with fantasy card games is ‘magic’, hereditary to classic games such as ‘Magic: the gathering’, created by Richard Garfield. Commercial games such as Monopoly and Uno prosper from being interactive with family and friends but can get boring easily. Whereas Garfield’s success with the game is complimented with the theme ‘magic’. The noun connotes ‘illusions’ and ‘supernatural elements’ which is explored within the game. The essence of magic allows us to use our infinite innovation in gameplay. How individuals define magic reflects the developing modern-day world we understand, providing opportunity to express our creativity. By giving players particular characteristics and free will, it provides them with a sense of power and uniqueness in how they play the game.

Dwelling on this concept, I feel magic should be explicitly entwined in the game mechanics. To give our game more of an identity, the subtopic within our CCG will be ‘anime’. As a team, we all like anime, as well as it being an expanding community. To avoid cliché games like Yu-Gi-Oh, any stylistic choices will be discussed by the team.

2. Purposes: 

The cards will be 35 per deck.

Every player will be allowed to play with 35 cards - 30 common cards and 5 golden cards. 2 players ( the main and joining player ) will have overall 70 cards - each of them will have 35 cards in his hand (30 common; 5 golden).  There are going to be Warrior cards, Assassin cards, Healing cards, Magical and etc.
